Hemos estado ahi 2 veces antes y es un hotel de MUY alta calidad. Estamos MUY contentos con la habitación (todo de muy alta calidad!) , con la ubicación del hotel, con el jardín, con la vista de la habitación, con el hotel en general, con los empleados en general (son MUY atentos y MUY buenos) - todos excepto de las empleadas del concierge y de la recepción. El restaurante es muy acogedora pero la música en el restaurante solamente es buena para las persononas jovenes. Las comidas son muy buenas pero no tanto como antes, la calidad ha bajado bastante. Durante la mañana es un poco mejor, la música. La playa y el mar - "over the top".

Los precios. Es un hotel muy caro - y nosotros lo sabíamos. Pero sentimos robados cuando teniamos que pagar 900 pesos (= 300 DKK = 40-45 USD) para una media botella de vino blanco "normal" (Chardonay) - 0,375 litros). Todos los precios fueron abiertos para los clientes - pero no pensamos que fuese necessario "controlar" que fueron razonables. Los precios son demadiados altos en general! Desayuno incluido! NO ....solamente un plato (muy bueno) con frutos y unos pasteles - y café y jugo. Impuestos incluidos! NO -teníamos que pagar una cantidad (no alta) cuando veníamos al hotel. Pensabamos que fuera una muy buena idea estar en contacto con el consierge durante la estancía en WhatsApp - pero no recibiámos el precio prometido del taxi y al final teniamos que ir a recepción para preguntarles sobre esto. Todavía ellas no tuvieron un precio para nosotros (un taxi de Tulum a Mérida) pero la chica empezaba de encontrar los precios. Al final decidiamos ir con autobus. Los precios que ella nos daba, fueron demadiados altas - y en ningún caso razonables y al mismo tiempo muy lejos de los precios que otros personas habian pagado recientemente. Si hemos recibido el precio el día antes - como prometido - estaríamos estado en Mérida 4 horas antes. Tampoco era posible para las chicas en la recepción ayudarnos con dinero (efectivo) que necesitabamos. Pero pensamos que lo más peor fuera el ruido durante la noche. No paraba antes de que las 02.00-03.00 cada noche - también el lunes fue ruido - de la música tecnica, y muy alta. No podíamos dormir, ni con la puerta cerrada! Eso NO es una cosa que el hotel puede mejorar, porque la música que oíamos durante la entera noche fue de los discotecas al lado del hotel- NO del hotel.

Fantástico pero por la calidad y precio del hotel, faltan detalles importantes

Ubicación, primera linea de mar, entorno natural, habitación ( estaba en la suite) comida, servicio.

Cosas en la habitación que inicialmente no funcionaban ( telefono, cisterna water) televisión muy pequeña La ropa de cama olía a humedad. Pedi almohada adicional y la respuesta fue que no tenían .

Grande personal hace tu estadía maravillosa ! La comida deliciosa!

Paulina la concierge es increíble y te ayuda con los niños pequeños !

Algunas escaleras están en muy mal estado y la habitación no la hacen a profundidad solo muy por encima por ejemplo no cambiaron la cama de mi hija que se había orinado !!!

Mi hotel favorito en Tulum, las chicas de recepción (Melisa y Pau) son increíbles en su trato, todo el tiempo dispuestas a ayudar, William en el restaurante, nos trato perfectamente, la comida deliciosa aunque si varia el sabor de un Chef a otro...

For the first time ever, I wish I had gotten to stay in the room more.

The place was amazing. We stayed in one of the oceanfront suites. Very cozy and private. If you're coming to visit and spend a lot of time away from the hotel, don't get this room. You won't want to leave it. It was right by the pool and you can go to sleep listening to the ocean. It's also right next to the restaurant.

My spouse had more of a problem with this, the lounge music coming from the pool is just behind your room. They had it turned off by 10p every night and we were usually already out for the day before ever hearing it turn on again. You do have to walk through the sand to get to the restaurant and if headed out for the day. So you kind of end every day sandy and begin everyday sandy. Not a big deal if you're accustomed to a beach vacation.

Fantastic welcome - great lobby and staff

Hotel very well looked after - amazing staff. Truly amazing and doing the best they can. They are very much “hands on”, in particular the concierge. A great number of staff, including security staff, always happy to help with a smile. Restaurant staff (Maria and Will) decorated my table for breakfast because they knew I was leaving. I was also surprised they clean the beach every morning! In addition, the property is beautiful. View from the room was really enjoyable.

The hotel gives access to the breach club to non hotel guests. This can be challenging because I have noticed those guests can drink a lot... and behave accordingly. My preference is for hotels where this is better restricted. Privacy is key at that level. I do not book a 5• hotel at 5• price to spend my extremely valuable time at the breach with whoever turns up. It was so lovely when I came to Ana y Jose 10 years ago and I am sad this has changed.

the property is nice, directly on the beach. the lobby is detached but the managers of the hotel were very present . the food quality was good .

the first room close to the street was noise and after ask we have been move to a better room . the club mamazita is close and it is not a property fault . in general it was in my opinion very expensive. 20$ a cocktail , 20$ a beer . very expensive .

Beautiful hotel on the beach, would stay again!

beautiful rooms a few steps away from the pool and the beach, amazing attentive staff and what a great location by the beach in Tulum, walking distance to all the bars, restaurants, boutiques and beach clubs.

only slight downside is the breakfast that you get if you book with breakfast included, it’s very basic and leaves much to be desired! you basically leave breakfast still hungry.

After working out the noise issue in the beginning, the rest of our stay was perfect.

We loved our second room (Nube is the name) which is very close to the pool and doesn't have much noise pollution from the club across the street. It has a queen bed and a day bed, which was perfect for our small family of 3. We loved how easy it was to access the pool, head down to the gorgeous beach (soft, white sand, warm waters, and no seaweed), and get cleaned up again back in our room. If you're planning on staying at this resort and would like peace and quiet at night in your room, be sure to book a room far away from the street and on the bottom level. The night staff was super caring when our daughter vomited in the middle of the night and came to help clean up our room. They checked in on her the next day as well. It was nice to be able to communicate with them directly via text messaging. They felt like family.

Continental breakfast is complimentary but doesn't include water, which costs 9.75USD per bottle. Black coffee and orange juice are included, but not water. Of course, we learned our lesson quickly and would drink water before heading out to breakfast. Some breakfast wait staff seemed eager for tips, it's not a good look/vibe for a nice resort.

Best value for price/location

Right on the beautiful beach. Intimate and tropical grounds. Friendly and super helpful staff. They booked us a private cenote tour which was totally worth it and recommend. The food was great, ordered lunch on the beach multiple time and it was always good. Walking distance to a ton of lively restaurants and partying so you have a lot of dining options to choose from. Also offered turn down service with chocolates which is always a nice touch. The hotel itself on has about 30 rooms so the staff recognize you and makes it feel that more special. Overall loved this place and would return, great value for the price/location.

The spa didn't wow us, the room was chilly, i would recommend trying a spa at a different hotel but still stay at ana y jose because it was great value. It was really noisy at night like all the other reviews say but they provided ear plugs and we were so tired from the day that we were able to sleep through the night no problem.
